A samarium–cobalt magnet, a type of rare earth magnet made of an alloy of samarium and cobalt.
They are generally the second-strongest type of magnets, not as strong as neodymium magnets. they have higher temperature ratings and strong anti-oxygenation. Basically, it is unnecessary to make plating process. But, they are brittle, and prone to cracking and chipping.
Samarium–cobalt magnets are used in motors, sensers, laser products, etc. |
